BACKGROUND: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are rare heterogeneous human malignant neoplasms, accounting for 1% of all human malignancies, arising mostly from various mesenchymal tissue. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are involved in cell proteostasis, and their expression by cancer cells allows the cells to survive, invade and undergo metastasis. AIMS: The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the potential role of key HSPs (HSP27, HSP70 and HSP90) in fibroblastic/myofibroblastic tumours of the extremities. METHODS: Expression of HSP27, HSP70 and HSP90 were analysed using immunohistochemistry on tissue sections from 35 cases of fibroblastic/myofibroblastic sarcomas and 8 cases of non-metastasising fibroblastic tumours. The expression of each protein was evaluated and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters examined. RESULTS: HSP27 and HSP70 were expressed in all fibroblastic/myofibroblastic tumours, but only the expression of HSP70 was significantly higher in sarcomas compared to non-metastasising counterparts (P < 0.05). Also, there was a significant relationship between HSP70 expression and the grade of sarcomas (P < 0.05). However, no significant association found between HSP27 and HSP90 expression and clinicopathological features of sarcomas. CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this study indicate that HSP70, and to a lesser extent HSP27, might have a role in sarcoma behaviour (as defined by the surrogates of tumour type and grade) and may provide prognostic information for clinicians in the future. Further studies are warranted to gain more insight into the role of these HSPs in the tumorigenesis of soft tissue sarcomas to determine whether they are possible markers of prognosis

This study aims to determine the amount of erosion in oil palm plantations in various slopes and determine the extent of erosion in oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in oil palm plantations PT. Chemical Tirta Utama, conducted over four months from December 2015 to March 2106. The study was conducted by two methods, namely the methods of measurement and prediction of erosion. Measurements of erosion are conducted by placing small plots in the area gawangan dead plant oil palm on land slope of 9%, 19% and 31%. Estimation of erosion performed using USLE method. The results showed that the amount of soil erosion in oil palm plantations using small plots highest on the slope of 9%, amounting to 5.38 tonnes / ha, whereas the lowest on slopes of 31% amounting to 2.83 tonnes / ha. For the method of soil erosion USLE highest on the slope 31% ie 431.98 tons / ha, whereas the lowest on the slope of 9% is 386.55 tons / ha. The degree of erosion in oil palm plantations by estimating method USLE at an inclination of 9%, 19% and 31%, respectively, are 11.64, 12.53 and 14.04 which are all included in the very high category. The level of erosion in oil palm plantations with small terraced plots measuring method at an inclination of 9%, 19% and 31%, respectively 0.16, 0.12 and 0.09 which are all included in the low category

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using some e-supporting apps in developing digital empowerment among public education teachers in light of quality standards for the instructional design. The study employed a semi-experimental approach with one group-pre-post-test. The study sample consisted of 90 teachers in the Summer Training Program at Taibah University in the year 1438-1439. The researchers used the following tools and materials: an achievement test, an observation card, and a scale of instructional design quality. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of teachers in the achievement test, the observation card, and the scale of instructional design quality in the development of digital empowerment in the post-test. The most important recommendations were: That electronic support apps. should be used o develop digital empowerment to become a formula in the development of digital content and the quality of educational design; to prepare teachers to meet the needs of the society, to encourage public education teachers to design new technologies for e-support; and to employ them in the design of all courses for different disciplines in the different academic stages

Research on effects of some dose of palm oil mill effluentand media on the growth of oil palm Seedlings( Elaeisguineensis Jacq .) fase main nursery, plantation experiment have been conducted in garden experiment of the Agriculture Faculty, Riau University was startedon march until june 2015. with the aim to get the dose of palm oil mill effluent and media works best for seedlings growth palm oil. A field experiment was conducted by using split plot design, in which three levels of media ie; Ultisol ,Histosol , and mixure, were assigned to main plot and four levels of palm oil mill effluentie; control , 0.8 l , 1.6 l , and 2.4 l. The Parameters observed were plant height, leavesnumber, the increase in diameter stump, root volume, root crown ratio, dry seedling weight.Based on research results that palm oil mill effluent 2.4 l in a media mixure show results in best than other treatment to increase plant height, diameter stump, root crown ratioon palm oil in main nursery

This study aims to determine the effect of dosage compost TKKS and ZA, TSP, KCl fertilizer on the growth and production of shallots. This research was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Riau, Tampan, Pekanbaru in October - December 2015. The design used in this research is arranged in Factorial Random Design (RAK) Factorial consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. Factor I: compost TKKS (C) with 4 doses (ton / ha) ie C1 (10), C2 (15), C3 (20), C4 (25) and factor II: ZA, TSP, KCl (K) With 3 doses (kg / ha): K0 (0), K1 (250 kg ZA / ha + 150 kg TSP / ha + 100 kg KCl / ha), K2 (500kg ZA / ha + 300kg TSP / ha + 200 kg KCl / ha). The data obtained were analyzed using multipurpose test with Duncan multiple test at 5% level. Compost TKKS and ZA, TSP, KCl fertilizer had significant effect on tuber diameter per sample clump, tuber weight per plot, and tuber weight per plot, Not significant to plant height and number of tubers per sample clump. The compost of TKKS 1.5 kg / plot was added ZA50 g / plot, TSP 30 g / plot and KCl 20 g / plot resulted in the highest onion production of 487.67 g / plot or equal to 4,8767 ton / ha compared with other treatment
